ATP - COLD CHAIN COMPLIANCE WITH APEXX
At APEXX, we design, manufacture and assemble Isothermal CoolBox truck bodies to ATP standards, ensuring compliance with the highest international requirements for the safe transport of temperature-controlled goods.
Our designs follow proven European-tested specifications, delivering superior performance, safety, and reliability for both domestic food distribution, FMCG, final mile, and export into regulated markets.
WHAT IS ATP AND WHAT IS IT’S PURPOSE?
The ‘Agreement on the International Carriage of Perishable Foodstuffs, and on the Special Equipment to be used for such Carriage’ is known as ATP.
ATP is a United Nations agreement that sets strict design and performance standards for temperature-controlled food transport. Mandatory across Europe and recognised in over 50 countries, ATP ensures consistent quality, reliable temperature control, and compliance in global refrigerated logistics.
New Zealand is light on recognising on any particular standard across the cold chain, so it is important we keep up with international benchmarks in the industry. In this way you can both promote your businesses cold-chain integrity, and rest assured consumers are receiving the freshest goods possible with a globally recognised advantage. Delivering confidence with every load
WHY ATP CERTIFICATION MATTERS
Global Consistency – Required for exports into Europe and aligned with the world’s strictest food safety regulations.
Tested Thermal Efficiency – Our panels meet or exceed the ≤ 0.4 W/m²·K standard for frozen goods, keeping cargo temperatures stable in all conditions.
Cold Chain Integrity – Superior insulation and refrigeration reduce spoilage, extend shelf life, and protect food safely from farm to distribution center and depot to store display.
Future-Proofing – While not yet mandatory in New Zealand, ATP is a recognised benchmark, positioning your fleet as a leader in hygiene, compliance, and quality.
