From RVE to APEXX
The story of APEXX begins more than half a century ago. Retro Vehicle Enhancement Ltd was founded in 1968 and has since grown into a respected leader in New Zealand’s automotive enhancement sector.

Over the years, the company established two strong trading names:

  • RVE (Retro Vehicle Enhancement) – Bespoke automotive enhancement focused on luxury passenger vehicles and van seating,

  • COOLBOX – dedicated to commercial transport solutions, including refrigerated truck bodies, and specialist builds.

The Commercial divisions of RVE and CoolBox have expanded over recent years with shared resources and goals. Strategically it made sense to combine the commercial sides, and refocus RVE on its original intent. Hence APEXX was born with a mission: to provide the highest quality and innovative solutions, enabling effective and efficient movement of people and goods in the transport industry.

While Retro Vehicle Enhancement Limited remains the legal name of the group, the business now trades as both RVE and APEXX.
